  • Alright, first D&D session... let me tell you this right now: it was awesome!
Unfortunately, it started out not so awesome for me. We were in a mausoleum (where we had two find the two children of the guy who commissioned us) and had to solve a riddle to activate a secret door. After 10 minutes or so, we finally realized we had to move little statues around in order to do that. So, we ran around, switching statues, without knowing HOW to move them. In the end, Diego solved the riddle, whereas I discovered I had basically done the exact opposite of what we were supposed to do... at least I played in character... I have intelligence 7 :D
So, we went into the next room, where sarcophages lay around. Two hob-goblins were hiding behind them, but thanks to Diegos (or Renés) passive perception we immediately saw them. So, what does the paladin do? Immediately storms to one of the hobgoblins, trying to attack. The sarcophage, however, was a trap, which the stupid IN 7 paladin runs right into. I'm now lying on the ground. Both goblins attack me, I have 0 HP. Fortunately, my third saving throw was a twenty, so I was back in action. Next turn, I basically decapitated the last hobgoblin with 14 HP. Oh, what a comeback.
After that, fortunately, no more incredibly stupid blunders from my side. We saved the children :D At a certain point, however, 3 out of 4 Characters had only one HP left.
However, the next day, I finally finished reading the players handbook and discovered we had made a few mistakes. We were running around a lot, and turns out you have -5 penalty on attack rolls if you do, which we disregarded. Also, if I made rolls on healing, I could give out healing surges, which I didn't know either. No wonder we were on our last legs all the time... It was incredibly much fun though :D Can't wait for the next session - which will be played properly!

  • VAV-related, I noticed a dialogue-problem. I often have trouble coming up with dialogue, and it's usually the last remaining thing I have to sort out. I know what is supposed to be said, but I never know HOW to write it. That kinda bugs me. Does anybody have tips on how to overcome that?

  • I need to clean up my desktop. There's piles of random everything everywhere. I don't even have enough place for my cup of coffee :'(

  • EDIT (July 3rd):
I'm sorry, but I have to share this. So I ordered some stuff on Amazon and it finally arrived today. The postman had a strange smile on his face, but I thought that must've been because I was still in my freetime-robes (big t-shirt, shorts, no make-up, nothing). What also seemed strange was that the package was covered in plastic and the like. Oh well, I didn't care much.
After he had left though, I took a closer look and suddenly saw a bright, pink sticker with "damage report" written on it. So that's why that ass had smiled so stupidly when he had handed me the package; he had hoped I wouldn't turn it around in his presence to see that sticker. The package looked awful. Totally torn. I hoped at least the books wouldn't have gotten too much damage.
Well, three of them didn't. The two others however... damn. The bookspines were totally demolished, and the books themselves were deformed to the point where you couldn't even open the books normally, let alone read them. Will, of course, return immediately ;)
Still, I don't have the slightest idea what one has to do in order to make this amount of damage. It's insane...

Yeah, you almost gave me a heart-attack when I checked my message box :D
Thanks a lot
Hahaa! Sorry about that, I tend to go on "Fav-ing Sprees" and half the time I lose track of how many favs I make in one sitting. And there were so many lovely pictures in your gallery, I just couldn't stop myself.

You're very welcome. :huggle:

I am now a follower of your art and comics! It was especially cool going through your gallery because you've tried so many different things. Different styles, different techniques, different mediums--THAT'S the sign of a creative and accomplished artist. =D
